Petra Schneider is an international sustainability consultant with more than 28 years’ experience designing, delivering, and scaling climate resilience, community empowerment, and education programmes in Asia.
Biography
Born in Canada and now an Indonesian citizen, she brings a rare cross-cultural perspective and an ability to bridge government agencies, civil society, private sector partners, and multilateral organisations. Her work spans curriculum development, disaster risk reduction, education, and behaviour-change communications, always making sustainability accessible, practical, and deeply human. Petra has led large, long-term projects with UN agencies, national governments, and international donors, including integrating disaster risk reduction and climate change into Indonesian school curriculums. She has designed teacher trainings, educational toolkits, interactive learning games, and community programs that have reached thousands of schools and families across the region. As Co-Founder of Alam Santi and EcoGames.net, she has dedicated her career to translating complex ecological and social challenges into creative, engagement solutions that accelerate learning and empower future leaders.
